さあ長い1日が終わった。広島グリーンアリーナで広島県合気道連盟主催の合同演武会が行われ、我々広島国際合気道道場も１６名で参加した。長岡理事長発案で初の開催となった合同演武会は関係者、参加者みんなの協力で無事楽しい演武会となった。スケジュールもスマートであり、皆が不快にならないペース配分で適度な交流ができたと思う。素晴らしい運営陣に感謝したい。

さて江田島にかえっては花火大会が道場の窓から見えた。稽古前にみんなで適度な鑑賞会をして一通り花火を満喫してから稽古が恒例となりつつある。当道場からも二人が演武会にも参加していただいたし、また江田島でも稽古してくれた。ありがたい限りだ。何も考えない。稽古があるから行くだけだ。効率的でも、実利的でもないかもしれないお稽古だ。しかしそれだからこそ価値があると感じる。
And so, another long day has come to an end.
A joint Aikido demonstration, organized by the Hiroshima Prefectural Aikido Federation, was held at Hiroshima Green Arena. Our Hiroshima International Aikido Dojo took part with 16 members.
This was the first event of its kind, proposed by Chairman Nagaoka. Thanks to the cooperation of everyone involved, both organizers and participants, it turned out to be an enjoyable and successful demonstration.
The schedule was well organized and flowed smoothly. I think the pacing allowed everyone to interact comfortably without feeling rushed or inconvenienced. I would like to express my gratitude to the excellent organizing team.

When I returned to Etajima, I could see the fireworks from the dojo windows. It is gradually becoming a tradition for everyone to gather and enjoy the fireworks for a while before practice. Once we have watched the whole display, we begin our training.
Two members from our dojo also participated in the demonstration, and they came to practice in Etajima as well. I am truly grateful for that.
I don’t overthink it. I simply go because there is practice.
These sessions may not be efficient or practical in any obvious sense. But perhaps that is precisely why I feel they have value.
