人間にとって労働はお金を稼ぐ以上の意味がある。労働のおかげで自分の役割を作り、その役割を演じ、そのおかげで自分を取り戻し、整える。AIが人間を超え、人間の労働力に取って代わる時代が来ている。人間から労働が奪われるとき、我々は自分たちの価値をどこに見出すべきなのか。ある著書の中では、機械が人間の為に偽の労働を与えて飼い慣らすというオチも描かれていた。ゲームの中で素材集めをして家を建てる若者たち、仮性労働を与えられ、それに意味を見出し没頭する時代は来ている。

古来より、その答えを与えるのは宗教だった。人々は信仰に救いを求め、信仰のために救い合い、また殺し合った。そして今なお続いている戦争もその一つだと思う。そしてもう一つ、芸術もその一つの答えだ。人間が人間たらしめる行動、情動、思考、その結果が芸術だ。機械による支配はすぐそこまで来ている。芸術について深く考えるべき時が来ている気がする。
For human beings, labor means more than simply earning money. Through work, people create a role for themselves, perform that role, and through doing so, regain and organize themselves. An age is coming in which AI surpasses humans and replaces human labor. When labor is taken away from us, where should we seek our value?
In one book I read, there was even a conclusion in which machines pacified humanity by providing artificial forms of labor. Young people gathering materials and building houses inside games — an era has already arrived in which people are given pseudo-labor, find meaning within it, and immerse themselves completely.

Since ancient times, religion has often provided humanity with an answer to this question. People sought salvation through faith, helped one another through faith, and also killed one another because of it. Even the wars that continue today are, I believe, part of that same history. And there is another answer as well: art.
The actions, emotions, and thoughts that make human beings truly human — the result of those things is art. The domination of machines is already approaching. It feels as though the time has come for us to think deeply about art.
