The sound of rain makes my hard-of-hearing ear even harder to hear. On days like that, I think it is best to stay quiet. I am also feeling a bit under the weather, with a sore throat, so I will get proper sleep and prepare for the next day. There is nothing to do but move forward step by step every day. Even if it is only a very small step, if I want to see myself making progress, however slight, then there is no other way.

Irimi-tenkan is a movement where you step one foot forward and turn around to the rear. And yet, simply doing only that does not make the technique work. I used to think deeply about why. Is it about where to cut down? Is it about where to take the neck? Now I feel what matters is entering inside — entering into the opponent. I seem to remember Jin Sensei of Ki no Michi saying something like that as well.
