今日は土曜日は今年最終稽古日なので演武会を行いました。みなさんのチャレンジの年は、最終稽古日までチャレンジで幕を閉じます。振り返ってみると初めての一年で慣れないことばかりでしたが、みなさん一人一人の力でこの江田島国際合気道の一年目が終えようとしています。演武会が終わってからみんなで掃除をしました。掃き掃除をして、掃除機をかけて、畳を丁寧に拭いて、床の間も拭いて、みんなで道場に感謝を伝えました。帰る時には不思議と道場が喜んでいるように見えました。
江田島国際合気道は３本の柱を軸に活動しています。
１江田島における合気道の普及と発展により地域住民の心身の健康増進を図る
２江田島における合気道指導者の育成により合気道の質向上を図る
３江田島における国際交流の場として貢献し、国際人としての人材育成を図る
です。この三本柱を軸としていろいろな活動を行ってきました。が、まだまだできることがありそうなのでこれからもいろいろな活動を考えて行っていこうと思います。みなさん演武ができるようになったので交流の場での演武会も行いたいものです。
来年はこの江田島国際合気道にはどんな一年が待っているのか楽しみです。私も拙い演武をさせていただきましたが来年にはもっと上達していたいと思いました。季節の移り変わりの中で節目節目で成長した自分に会えるように、その都度、目標を見つけて一歩一歩進んでいきたいと思うのです。今日はその節目の日でした。その日をこのようなメンバーで迎えられたことをとても幸せに感じます。ありがとうございました。
On the final practice day of the year, we held a demonstration event at the Aikido dojo. For each participant, this marks the end of a year filled with challenges. Reflecting on the past, it has been a year of new experiences, but everyone is closing out the first year of the Aikido journey with their individual efforts. After the demonstration, we all participated in cleaning the dojo. Sweeping, vacuuming, wiping the tatami mats thoroughly, cleaning the alcove; together, we expressed gratitude to the dojo. When leaving, it almost felt as if the dojo itself was content.
Echigojima International Aikido operates based on three pillars:
- Promoting and developing Aikido in Echigojima to enhance the mental and physical well-being of the local community.
- Cultivating Aikido instructors in Echigojima to improve the quality of Aikido instruction.
- Contributing to international exchange in Echigojima, fostering the development of individuals as international citizens.
With these three pillars as our foundation, we have engaged in various activities. However, there is still much more we can do, so we plan to continue brainstorming and implementing new initiatives. As everyone has become proficient in demonstrations, we look forward to hosting exchange events where demonstrations can be showcased.
Next year holds anticipation for what lies ahead for Echigojima International Aikido. Personally, I look forward to improving my skills in demonstrations. Much like the changing seasons, I aim to set new goals with each milestone, taking steps forward. Today marked one such milestone, and I feel fortunate to have reached it with this wonderful group of members. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
