江田島は幸い台風10号の被害はさほどありませんでした。心配した本日の稽古も何事もなく終えることができました。台風は過ぎ去るとほんとに何事もなかったように快晴が広がります。空が綺麗な江田島はより一層晴々とした空が広がり瀬戸内海という土地柄、周りに守られた地理上の利点に感謝せねばなりません。安全に今日も稽古できることを感謝しながら稽古に励みました。

久しぶりに昇級試験の技も思い出しながらの稽古をしました。昇級試験前に試験項目ばかりになるのもバランスが悪いので、気がつけば試験項目の技ができるようになっていたというのが指導者的には理想です。少しずつ織り交ぜながら、そして理合を理解しながらの稽古になればと思います。皆さんは気づいていないかもしれませんが、起き上がりにかかる時間が短くなっているので少しずつ体力がついていますし、練習の負荷が少しずつ上がっています。少しずつ負荷を上げて健康に過ごせる時間が少しでも長く過ごせたらと思います。
Fortunately, Etajima did not suffer significant damage from Typhoon No. 10. Today’s practice, which I had been concerned about, also ended without incident. Once a typhoon passes, the sky becomes incredibly clear, as if nothing ever happened. The sky over Etajima, which is always beautiful, seemed even more vibrant, and I must be grateful for the geographical advantage of being surrounded and protected by the Seto Inland Sea. With gratitude for being able to practice safely today, I devoted myself to training.

We also revisited techniques for the upcoming rank promotion test after a long time. It’s not ideal to focus solely on test techniques right before the exam, so it’s preferable for students to naturally be able to perform the techniques before realizing it. As an instructor, I aim to blend these techniques into our practice gradually and with a clear understanding of their principles.
Although the students might not have noticed, the time it takes for them to stand up has decreased, indicating that they are gaining strength and endurance. The training intensity has increased gradually, so I hope that everyone can continue to stay healthy and extend their time in good health by gradually increasing the load.
