をしました。江田島での稽古とは違い、技をある程度理解されている方への稽古ですので、基本的に技の説明はなくしました。少しポイントとなる部分を表現したかったのですがそれが実演でうまく表現できるかという部分が大切であり、上達が必要だと感じました。また何種類もある技をしっかり違いを意識して行うことも実演ではとても難しく感じました。ヴェルナー、カロリンのような稽古をしようとすると実演力が乏しく難しいので、自分が稽古したい技を皆さんに教えてもらいたいという稽古の組み立てになったというのが正直なところでした。しかし技の疑問点も少し炙り出されてきた感じもありますので、また両師範がどうしているのか注意深く観察してみようと思います。
While Masters Werner and Karolin are back in Germany, the Hiroshima International Aikido Dojo will hold self-practice sessions among the members. Today, I, Terada, took on the role of instructor. The training for the day included:
- Aiki warm-up exercises
- Footwork practice
- Ukemi (falling techniques)
- Gyaku hanmi katate-dori genkei kokyu-nage stretch
- Shomen-uchi irimi-nage
- Ai hanmi katate-dori irimi-nage (two variations using jo movements)
- Shomen-uchi sankyo omote & ura (with two variations for ura)
- Ai hanmi katate-dori sankyo (using jo movements)
- Shomen-uchi shihonage
- Shomen-uchi genkei kokyu-nage (two variations)
- Jo kokyu-nage (against multiple opponents)
Unlike the practice in Etajima, this session was aimed at individuals who already have a certain understanding of the techniques, so I decided not to include detailed explanations of the techniques. While I wanted to highlight key points, I realized that the ability to effectively demonstrate them is crucial and that I still need to improve in this area. It was also quite challenging to perform and distinguish between the various techniques during demonstrations.
Honestly, the structure of the training ended up being more about teaching the techniques I wanted to practice myself rather than attempting to mimic the sessions led by Werner and Karolin, as my demonstration skills are still lacking. However, I felt that some doubts regarding the techniques began to surface, so I plan to closely observe how both masters execute these techniques when they return.
