本日は昨日安佐南区スポーツセンターで稽古いただいた竹森先生に、遠路はるばる江田島までお足を運んでいただいて、ホームグラウンドである江田島市スポーツセンターでの合同稽古会となりました。当道場の稽古生も参加させていただき、竹森先生の武道としての合気道の奥深さに触れることができました。手の取り方、位置取りの仕方、相手の攻め方。名だたる先生の受けを取られてこられた竹森先生ならではのお話は厳しくもありながらとても勉強になるお話でした。

終わった後先生から、更衣室で更衣しながら本日の稽古の反省をされるとお話をしていただきました。年齢を重ねながら、理想の動きへの探究を続ける武道家の竹森先生の姿がそこにはありました。先生はどの方に話しかけられてもしっかりと話を聞いてしっかり返される先生でした。遠くまできていただけお会いできるご縁をいただけたことを感謝します。ありがとうございました。
Today, we welcomed Takemori Sensei, who taught yesterday at the Asaminami Sports Center, all the way to Etajima. We held a joint training session at our home base, the Etajima City Sports Center. Our dojo members were also able to participate, and everyone had the opportunity to experience the depth of Takemori Sensei’s aikido as budō.
His explanations on how to take the hand, how to position oneself, and how to apply pressure to the opponent were strict yet deeply instructive—wisdom possible only from someone who has taken ukemi from so many of the most renowned teachers.

After the session, Sensei mentioned—while changing in the locker room—that he always reflects on the day’s practice. In that moment, we saw the figure of a true martial artist: someone who continues to pursue ideal movement even as the years pass.
Sensei spoke sincerely with everyone who approached him, and we felt the depth of his character. We are grateful for the connection and circumstances that allowed this training to happen and for being able to share this time together.
